ITT shows its commitment to careers and education by recognition of good practice, student awards, consultancy and much more.
ITT runs an Education & Training Committee chaired by ITT Board Director Claire Steiner. Claire organises student events on behalf of ITT, such as the hugely popular 'Future You' seminar at WTM.
She also represents ITT on external education/ industry bodies. Educational partnerships are an important part of ITT’s careers and education work.

The GTTP UK participates in three global competitions each year for schools.
The first, called the GTTP Research Competition & Award is designed to encourage research and analytical skills and requires competing schools to research a given topic. The teacher and two students from each winning school receive a trip to Europe where the students present their findings to winners from the other GTTP countries.
The topic for 2015 is “Adventure Tourism” - which will let students explore the role of adventure tourism in their countries or region.” For further information, please click here.

The second is the GTTP Travel Writing Competition, designed to encourage individual communications skills. The ongoing theme of the competition is “Secret Trails of My Country.” Winners at the national and international level win cash prizes. The final competition is the GTTP Photo Competition which encourages students to look for that one photo that will market and promote their local area as a tourist destination. There will be three winners in the UK who will each win a prize and who will then be entered into the global competition for the top prize. For information and an entry form click here.
