Every year, ITT organises a variety of popular events which enable Members to learn more about their industry at the same time as networking in both formal and informal settings.

Annual events include: the Members-only overseas Conference, President’s Dinner, Golf Tournament, Chairman’s Summer Cocktails and Christmas Cocktails.

Throughout the year ITT runs Odyssey Suppers at the House of Commons and a session at World Travel Market. ITT endeavours to find different ways to satisfy the increasing need for events.

ITT networking events are extremely popular and tend to sell out very quickly. New events are being added all the time so keep checking this section of the website for updates.

ITT Odyssey Supper

The first Odyssey Supper of 2017 will be held at The Groucho Club in Soho, London, with Peter Welch, Vice President, Marketing & Sales, Disneyland Paris UK & Ireland and Vice President Commercial Walt Disney World, Disney Cruise Line for EMEA, confirmed as guest speaker.

Peter has a long and distinguished career in travel, including time in France at Disneyland Paris, which is preparing to celebrate its 25th Anniversary in 2017 – an experience his talk is sure to touch on. 

As with all Odyssey Suppers, the informal evening event will begin with welcome drinks followed by a relaxed three-course dinner for the select number of attendees.  Peter will speak towards the end of the evening.

Peter Welch - Biography

Peter Welch is responsible for all business elements of Disneyland Paris including its profit and loss in the UK & Ireland and is also tasked with driving sales growth for Walt Disney World and Disney Cruise Line across EMEA.

Peter first joined Disneyland Paris as one of the original UK cast members in 1991. He spent seven years in the UK office developing its sales through a multi-channel distribution portfolio strategy including tour operators, consumer direct, leisure groups and the introduction of Disneyland Paris's own holiday tour operator and call centre.

After spending three years as Vice President of Occidental Hotels in Madrid he returned to Disneyland Paris as Director of Sales based in Paris. He was responsible for coordinating the country offices and heading up central sales administration that provided various back-office services to the country offices (including transport, sales admin and travel industry marketing). He was also General Manager for Disneyland Paris's own tour operator program (EuroDisney Vacances) and, in 2002, oversaw the German Office.

In 2004 Peter returned to the UK office as Vice President of UK & International Sales. This dual role covered all marketing and sales activities for the UK and also the establishment of an international team to cover all markets both European and Worldwide (excluding the key six European countries). In 2005 he also oversaw the Benelux offices.

From 2006 Peter refocused on the UK market which is one of Disneyland Paris's largest producers of onsite room nights and attendance. In 2008, the Walt Disney World and Disneyland Paris teams merged creating Disney Destinations International (DDI). This created an opportunity for a new role, and Peter took up the position as UK Commercial Vice President taking sales responsibility for Disney Cruise Line, Walt Disney World and Disneyland Paris in the UK and Ireland.

Peter is a graduate of Southampton University and holds a Bachelor of Science degree with honours in Politics, Philosophy and Economics. He has worked for 36 years in the leisure business and prior to Disney held international management positions at both British Airways and Stakis Hotels.

Peter is an avid sports fan and, being born and bred in Wales, is a passionate Rugby fan. He has previously played first-class rugby and has even coached the Spanish national rugby team!
