Yes. Whichever month you join in, your membership will run for a full year. When you continue your membership it will roll on year-on-year.
Membership fees vary according to status, commencing at £30 for students to £160 for a Fellow. Check the Membership section of this website for a full list of membership fees and details of the various membership options.
NB: There is an additional one-off fee of £25 to join as either a Member or a Fellow in year one of membership.
The two levels reflect the Member’s length of service, experience, qualifications and status within the industry, with Fellow being the more senior status. All applications are assessed upon receipt before the level of membership is approved.
The annual membership fee covers one year from the month that you join the Institute and is normally tax deductible. If you are entitled to the tax deduction, you will be able to find a section in your self-assessment form to claim it as a tax deductible expense.
