ITT’S OFFICIAL: INSTITUTE CONFERENCE SELLS OUT
‘Who’s Who’ of UK travel and tourism set to attend the Blue Riband event in the industry calendar
London, 6 June 2017: The 2017 ITT Conference is now sold out, with 400 Members and their companions due to depart for the Neapolitan Riviera for a unique blend of outstanding speaker presentations and a relaxed social programme from 12-14 June.
The 2017 ITT Conference will take place in one of the most exciting contemporary and artistic cities on earth: Sorrento. This charming town will host the three day event, which includes two mornings of conference sessions; a party followed by a late night bar on all three nights; and plenty of free time for delegates to network with peers and experts throughout.
Steven Freudmann, ITT Chairman, said: “I am delighted that the Conference is a complete sell-out. It confirms that professionals in the travel industry continue to place a significant value on networking with their peers. The delegate list reads like the ‘Who’s Who’ of travel!

There is no official theme for the Conference, with numbers capped to ensure the event provides an exclusive meeting and networking environment. The conference sessions will be presented in a magazine format and feature speakers of the highest quality from inside and outside the industry. These include George Osborne, the Former Chancellor of the Exchequer; Julie Meyer, Chairman, CEO and Founder, Ariadne Capital; Sören Hartmann, Chief Executive Officer of DER Touristik Group and Pierfrancesco Vago, Executive Chairman of MSC Cruises and Chairman of CLIA Europe.
The Conference parties will offer delegates the opportunity to eat, drink, be merry and catch up with their friends and peers in a relaxed social environment. Designed to showcase the very best that the host destination has to offer, venues include the ‘L’agrumento’ Citrus Garden at the Hilton Sorrento Palace for the Welcome Party; the Hilton’s Outdoor Pool Terrace for the Gala Dinner; and the elegant Villa Fiorentino, home to Sorrento’s cultural events and exhibitions, for the Farewell Party.
Delegates will also get the chance to discover Sorrento and surrounding areas of interest via a selection of excursions including tours to Pompeii and Mount Vesuvius, a boat trip of the Amalfi Coast, a cruise to Capri or Anacapri, a cooking lesson in Sorrento and more.
