During the course of 2017 ITT Members Frank Orman, founder and director of LeadGeneratorsDigital, and Paul Richer, founder of Genesys Digital Transformation, together forged a programme of seminars and workshops that they have been offering to managing directors and marketing directors of travel-related businesses.
Two Heads Are Better than One
This initiative is an exemplar of two leading industry figures, owners of non-competing services, harnessing the power of collaboration to achieve mutual benefits that far exceed those that they could have generated independently.
Their joint education programme serves both the interests of their travel colleagues and of their own client networking. Delegates benefit from seminars that empower them to make those crucial decisions that change the fortunes of their businesses online. Frank and Paul win too: they are frequently hired by those whom they teach to provide further consultancy services or online marketing support.
A Tale of Two Teachers
Frank describes what inspired this joint project. “Paul and I discovered a mutual frustration at how so many of our clients came to us for help after they had made bad marketing or technology decisions for their businesses based on misinformation. We found common ground in our conviction that education was the first step. The rest is history.”
The first two training programmes have been running throughout this year and have already proved extremely popular.
Paul Richer has led Travel Technology Choices, a non-technical seminar to help business managers navigate the travel technology landscape in today’s marketplace so that they have the knowledge and tools to select the technology that suits their needs the best.
The second workshop, Online Marketing for Marketing Managers, run by Frank Orman, is an interactive workshop designed specifically for business owners and senior managers. Delegates learn how to conceive and implement stronger and more profitable online marketing strategies that will generate more traffic to, and sales from their websites.
The Next Steps
Frank and Paul both agree that the benefits of this collaboration have outstripped their expectations even though the initiative is in its infancy. They have high hopes for 2018 when they plan to expand the reach and the range of their training programme.
