Interview with Liz Emmott, General Manager for Amadeus UK.

For those of you who haven’t yet had the chance to meet Liz at an ITT event, here is a desert island disc style interview to help you get to know her better.

What book would you bring that you could read over and over?
Travels with My Aunt by Graham Greene.

What would be the soundtrack to your island life?
Parallel Lines by Blondie.

What outfit?
A comfy pair of Paige jeans; cut-offs of course.

What recipe (assuming you had the ingredients?
I’m from Yorkshire so it has to be a roast beef dinner with real Yorkshire puddings made by yours truly.

What’s your favourite tipple?
Gin and Tonic or a Negroni cocktail.

What movie would keep you entertained?
The Usual Suspects.

What’s the best business advice you’ve ever been given?
Don't ignore the quiet people. We tend to gravitate towards people who are like us, but if you take the time to speak to the quiet ones, that's where you’ll find the hidden nuggets of information.

Who’s your hero?
My mum! And Nick Skelton for his sheer determination. Nick is the British equestrian who won gold in the Olympics despite having suffered from a broken neck years earlier.

What’s your guilty pleasure?
Bacon and egg sandwiches. Especially after a few Negronis.

Finally, what do you value about Amadeus’ ITT partnership?
The ITT is all about bringing people together, identifying the opportunities and tackling the challenges facing our industry. I’m looking forward to building on the already excellent relationship Amadeus enjoys with the ITT and its members.
