Alex Cruz to speak at ITT Conference 2019

ITT is thrilled to announce that Alex Cruz, Chief Executive Officer of British Airways, will be a speaker at ITT’s Conference in June 2019. He is the second speaker to be revealed after Johan Lundgren, Chief Executive Officer of EasyJet.


Alex Cruz was appointed Chairman and CEO of British Airways in 2016.  He also sits on the management committee of parent company International Airlines Group (IAG). Alex began his career at American Airlines in 1995 before becoming a partner at Arthur D Little in 2000.  He set up his own aviation consulting firm in 2002 and later joined Accenture as its head of aviation. 

In 2006, Alex founded Clickair, a Barcelona-based airline, merging it with Vueling Airlines in 2009 and becoming Vueling’s Chairman and CEO.  Vueling was acquired by IAG in 2013. Alex is also a visiting lecture at the IESE Business School in Madrid and the ESADE Business & Law School in Barcelona.  He is married with four children. 

ITT 2019 Conference

The ITT Conference, which will take place at Le Meridien Lav, Split, will feature some of the travel industry’s most recognisable figures and with two keynote speaker’s already announced, Members can expect a fantastic line-up of speakers to follow. Stay tuned for updates! 


Early Bird registration costs just £535.  Combining two mornings of Conference sessions with a relaxed social programme, delegate places have been capped at 400 to allow Members to network in a conducive environment.
