New Category added to the ITT Student Awards

ITT has introduced a Responsible Tourism Award to 2019’s ITT Student Awards. Launched in partnership with leading adventure travel company Intrepid Group, this new category will recognise students who have demonstrated an outstanding commitment to the subject.

Claire Steiner, F.Inst.TT, UK Director, GTTP & ITT Education & Training Chair said: “We are excited to launch this award in partnership with the Intrepid Group.  Responsible Tourism is at the heart of everything we do as a sector and this new award will enable us to acknowledge the great work that education is doing to inform students of all ages.”

James Thornton, CEO of Intrepid Group, added: “We are delighted to launch this special award for students who have demonstrated outstanding commitment to responsible travel.

“Intrepid has been a leader in sustainable tourism since its inception 30 years ago. This is a fantastic opportunity for us to celebrate the achievements of students of any age making their mark in this hugely important field.”

The ITT Student Awards celebrate the travel industry’s up‑and‑coming talent and illustrate ITT’s on‑going commitment to the collaboration of education and industry through a variety of initiatives. Winners of the seven categories, including ITT Student of the Year and ITT Apprentice of the Year, will be announced at ITT’s Summer Party in London.

Entries must be received no later than 30 April 2019. Please send entries to training@itt.co.uk.
