Small print. Big difference.
It can be easy to overlook terms and conditions in the busy day-to-day running of a business. The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) has previously found that less than half of UK businesses know the rules on unfair terms well and on average, only review their terms every four years.

Three Members from ITT’s Education and Training Committee – Danny Waine, Lee Ainsworth and Louie Davies – will complete the line-up for the ‘Attracting Future Leaders’ panel debate at this year’s Conference. Joining Claire Steiner, Eleanor Greatorex and Katy Varty, they will explore how your business can attract top talent, as well as the opportunities to be gained from encouraging non-graduate and apprenticeship level entry into the travel industry. A key session for the ITT Conference, it is set to provide an engaging and thought-provoking discussion. You can read their biographies below:
Danny is Interhome’s Commercial Sales Manager for the UK and Ireland. He was previously International Business Development Manager at Istituto Marangoni University and co-founded Perfect Weddings Abroad. As a member of the ITT Education and Training Committee, Danny helped launch the ITT Future You initiative. He was also a NVQ apprenticeship assessor at Training for Travel in Thomson and First Choice stores, part of the TTG 30 Under 30 in 2013 and the first ITT Student of the Year in 2006. He has also worked on projects at Travel Counsellors, Planet Holidays and the Grand Teton Lodge Company in Wyoming, USA.
Lee became Trading and Product Manager of the Advantage Travel Partnership in 2016. This role has seen him lead in the strategic planning for the longer-term vision of Advantage holidays. He started his career in 2009 at Hays Travel as an Apprentice Travel Consultant before moving to the head office division as Product Co-ordinator. Once here, Lee was part of the team who developed and created Hays Tour Operating Ltd. In March 2018 Lee was inducted to the TTG 30 Under 30 class of 2018 and joined the ITT Training & Education committee in December 2018.
As the UK Ancillaries Manager at Thomas Cook, Louie manages the P&L performance for ancillary products, ranging from Premium Seats to Room Upgrades. He stimulates revenue growth by improving distribution across the company’s online, retail and third party channels. This is Louie’s second role within Thomas Cook, after initially joining on The Future Leaders Graduate Programme in 2016. He was also selected for the TTG 30 Under 30 Programme in February 2018 and elected to the ITT Education and Training Committee in June 2018.
Louie holds a BSc and MSc degree in Geography at Cardiff and Oxford University respectively. Outside of travel, he can be found playing rugby or charity fundraising. Over the past two years, he has helped to fundraise £10,000 for Thomas Cook Children’s Charity and hosted Cook’s first ever variety show.
